We understand that transporting large numbers of people, commodities and equipment by road, rail, sea and air poses safety risks.
Schlau Energy strives to reduce these risks by developing best-practice standards. We also work with third-party specialists, industry bodies, non-governmental organisations and governments to develop ways of minimizing transport safety risks.

Studies have shown that commercial road transport accounts for most of the kilometres recorded in road transport. However, statistics have shown that a significant percentage of severe motor vehicle incidents happen while driving on company business. Consequently, Schlau Energy employees and contractors are required to undergo defensive driver training (DDT) which highlights the importance of: wearing seatbelts, not exceeding speeds limits and speed reduction for road conditions, staying fit, rested and fully alert while driving, and following a journey management plan.

Our business requires the frequent charterers of oil and gas vessels. We work with maritime partners to improve the safety performance of the shipping industry. We organize workshops on applying cause and effect analysis in incident investigations. Experience has shown that cause and effect analysis is a great tool for identifying the likely causes of an incident so that similar occurrences can be averted in the future.

Our aviation partners’ owned and contracted aircrafts flew significant hours and safely carried employees and contractors to destinations across the world.

Schlau Energy uses artificial intelligence, the internet of things, digital twin, robots and other digital technologies to improve safety of its employees, suppliers, and assets process safety.

Our business philosophy is underpinned by our core values of excellence, integrity, resilience, honesty, respect for people and our emphasis on safety.
